"An historic building. Large hotel which is is pretty well maintained. Staff were all great and really pleasant. Very surprised how good the food was. We had 3 course menu in what was a busy restaurant. Food arrived quickly and was excellent. Room was large with a comfortable bed. Overall an excellent weekend and yes I would go back."

It ended up being a much better option: the staff was lovely, the bar and restaurant was great, and the rooms were nice and comfortable for what we needed. And right by the water and shops around the corner. We would definitely stay here again."

"Firstly, Vanessa was amazing and welcoming. Very efficient and she upsokd the restaurant for lunch while we waited for the room to be ready. The room was small but that's normal for UK. Love the fact that there is nothing level at the hotel. Adds to the charm. This is our third hotel in the UK and none have been level.. not so bad we couldn't sleep or function. Just adds charm"
