We liked the view from our room on the ocean However we were very disappointed by the food at the buffet and in various restaurants, it was not the quality expected and was less than average. "Staff was great and hotel was beautiful. Food was good but could be better. Because we traveled during the holiday busy week, it took us an hr to get to downtown la Fortuna. So, most nights we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. It would be nice if things stayed open later like the hot springs and kids club, etc. But the service was exceptional. Free laundry machines to wash your clothes and shoe dryer was a bonus! "
