"Stayed in a private room with a double bed and private shower. Hotel room was cold, even in the afternoon. Blankets were free to rent but they charged 20 soles for a space heater. Service was slow but 10 minute walk to Plaza de Armas was convenient."

"The room was fine -- small, but clean. On the downside the bed was hard, and there was a fair amount of noise. There is no air conditioning or heater -- but the weather was moderate. The hotel is within close walking distance to the city center. But on the much bigger plus side, is that on both days my Expedia booked tour companies let me down, but the caring staff at Chankana Hotel (Hostel) went above and beyond to help salvage my entire trip! "This was the perfect hotel to acclimatize to the high altitude. Enjoyed unlimited coca tea and loved the hot water pouches at night to make the bed warm and cozy! Breakfast was good, especially the made-to-order eggs. They did charge a lot for drinking water and the hot tub use was too expensive to justify for a solo traveler like me this trip. I had the room on the third floor with the balcony. I’d stay here again! "
