"Our family had the wonderful fortune to stay at Tranquility for a week in late March 2025. The residence is on the second floor and affords a gorgeous view of Half Moon Bay. There is always a lovely, cooling breeze from the ocean, best enjoyed from the sheltered patio or beneath a palapa down on the beach. The condo is clean and kept fresh daily by the housekeeper, Rita. The staff and other residents are very friendly. Franscesca, the manager, welcomes with a smile, and Santiago, one of the grounds crew was especially nice, bringing a water jug to the room and even preparing coconuts to drink (delicioso!).Akumal is peaceful and very laid back. Compared with the traffic and crowds of Cancun and Tulum, it was always a welcome relief to get back to Tranquility and Akumal. In Akumal Playa and along the road to Tranquility, there are several good restaurants and bars. Our favorites were Turtle Bay Cafe and Buena Vida which is on the water and boasts terrific views and gentle breezes off the bay.Nearby are several unique attractions that we all enjoyed, including Yal Ku lagoon (great snorkeling), Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, and lots of cenotes to swim in! The cenotes are other-worldly and experiences that were each unique and well-liked. But after a day of adventure, it was always comforting to return to the laid back and welcoming walls of Tranquility."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean and a great location in the jungle and right by the lagoon. The living room, deck and pool are exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is a beautiful open space to relax and have fun as a group. Asidro and his wife were wonderful. They really allowed us to relax and accommodated all our requests. The kitchen was not as stocked as we expected when we decided to cook our own meals, but Asidro’s cooking made up for it. The location was further away from Akumal and a vehicle was needed to get around, but the location to the lagoon was fabulous. The beds were a bit hard and the house has had some wear and tear, but that’s to be expected from a rental."

"La Sirena is an absolutely exquisite property with lush plantings around a lovely big pool and wide walkways leading to the rocky beach. Mother and two daughters had come to celebrate one daughter's 60th birthday, and to escape winter in New England and chaos in the US. We found peace and comfort and joy at La Sirena. The house itself was roomy and beautifully decorated with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a sunning terrace, a screened in porch, small kitchen, dining area and comfortable living room. I would have liked to be met and shown around the place on arrival but when we had questions, Francesca (a perfect gem) was there in minutes to make things right. Thank goodness not everyone reviews only online...the guest book afforded useful tips on where to eat and what to do. We were so blissfully happy with our home away from home that we spent most of our time by the pool or at the beach, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the complex. I can't say enough about how welcoming and friendly the staff were. They set the tone for our entire visit. Thank you for opening your home to us. We loved every minute of our time there."

"We had a nice 4 night stay in #3 La Iguana. It is an older property but very spacious. Everything was great except for having a power outage for the first day/night and then no running water. Luckily it was restored on day 2 or we would have had to move. Communication with host/property manager was very good. The only thing we didn't like about this 2nd floor unit was that there was no real outdoor space (just a tiny balcony off the bedroom at the back). Location is at the very end of the road so a bit of a walk to some of the restaurants. Snorkeling out front was disappointing as the coral is in rough shape. But all in all, an enjoyable stay."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time! The lagoon was gorgeous, the home was so comfortable, and communication with staff was great! I would 100% recommend this property, and would love to return! The caretakers are also very kind and thoughtful. In fact, one of sisters brought a hat and the band around it came off. After a cleaning one morning, the hat was repaired even without being asked, which was unexpected and so appreciated! We felt very cared for and welcome!"
